Hot Rolled Steel
Hot rolled steel is your traditional steel that is supplied for a wide variety of products. These coils are provided with a mill edge and are produced by rolling slabs of steel at a high temperature that’s above the steel’s recrystallisation point.
Often referred to as “Hot Roll Black,” the black bands have a protective scale jacket that forms after rolling and protects the steel during short-term storage. Hot rolled steel is further produced into a variety of items for the automotive, energy, construction and pipe and tube industries.
Common specifications include:
- ASTM A1011/A1018
